Cruise Tourism Business Grant Scheme Form
This grant scheme aims to encourage and grow businesses that engage with cruise visitors in the Falkland Islands. Cruise tourism is a vital industry within the Falklands economy, and providing visitors with a diverse and attractive range of activities is important for its growth.
As the largest volume of passengers visit Stanley, this scheme is mainly focussed on the development of shore excursions and businesses that serve cruise visitors in Stanley. However, applicants from camp can also apply, although the number of cruise visitors to the location where the applicant operates will be taken into consideration when evaluating proposals.
Eligibility
All business entities are eligible, including sole traders, partnerships and incorporated companies. Proposals may be for the establishment of a new business or for enhancing an existing one.
Multiple applications are permitted, however businesses are limited to a maximum of £10,000 grant funding per annum.
Please note that the application must be made before any costs are incurred, as retrospective applications will not be considered.
Grant Assistance
Funding covering up to 50% of the total business development or project costs is available, with a maximum award of £10,000 per application.
Eligible costs include: raw materials, machinery, equipment, training, marketing, legal advice and consultancy services.
