About
On 21st May 1982, British troops were landed at San Carlos. Overlooking the now tranquil inlet of San Carlos Water, the Cemetery is constructed in the form of a corral and is dedicated to “the South Atlantic Task Force and to the abiding memory of the sailors, soldiers and airmen who gave their lives and who have no grave but the sea here beside the graves of their comrades”. The memorial records the names of those who died. The Cemetery is easily reached by road at the far side of the settlement.
Self-catering accommodation at San Carlos can be found at White Grass Cottage.
