About
Situated close to the main Battle Memorial in Stanley, this lovely little wall was constructed to mark the centenary of two World War One sea battles. It has plaques detailing the Battle of Coronel, the Battle of the Falklands and the key players involved with each. Descendants of these families were invited to the Islands to mark the centenary with a range of commemorative events. A small flower garden adds colour to the sheltered area which has a sense of calm on the windiest of days.
